Baseball Recap: Oak Hall Has No Trouble Against Eastside

Oak Hall won the last time they faced Eastside and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Rams. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Brayden Farmer made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Oak Hall is 6-3 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Farmer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Gavin Jones was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Oak Hall is undefeated when Jones posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Graham Rosenstone was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Oak Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside only managed five hits.

Oak Hall's record is now 7-8. As for Eastside, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-21.

Looking ahead, Oak Hall will face off against Countryside Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Minutemen will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastside, they will take on Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.96 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
