Basketball Recap: Timpview Takes a Loss

Timpview was the 45-33 winner over Spanish Fork when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 43-42 to the Dons. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Timpview still got an impressive performance from Leah Atuaia, who shot 60% from the field on her way to 16 points and four steals. The Thunderbirds are 2-1 when Atuaia posts three or more steals, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Zion Lloyd, who posted five points and three steals.

Timpview's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Spanish Fork, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.
