University has no trouble against Florence

Recap: University Bulldogs vs. Florence Huskies

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the University Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 40-15 margin over Florence. Winning may never get old, but University sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Coel Croissant went supernova for University, throwing for 260 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was Will Korby, who picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luguse Nuss, who rushed for 85 yards on only ten carries.

University's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

University will head out on the road to face off against Rifle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rifle is on a five-game streak of home wins, University a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
