Fans got a thrill when Deuce Wallace and Herb McGee connected against West St. John. The connection went for 70 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 10 this season.

Newman scaled the state rankings by moving to 53 from 82 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Greenies were able to move up by besting Pope John Paul II 55-7.

Riverside's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wallace threw for 220 and 3 touchdowns and McGee had 130 yards receiving. On the ground Dandre Wilson chipped in 55 yards. Von Julien helped Riverside's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 74 yards.

Riverside's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wallace has thrown for 738 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while McGee has 18 catches for 347 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Wright takes on Newman. Wright is currently in third, while Nelson Stewart's team is in first.

The Rebels and the Rams played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Rebels eventually emerging with a 35-32 victory. Wallace during the win.
