Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Watertown). They put the hurt on the East Nashville Magnet Eagles with a sharp 20-3 win on Friday. The Purple Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Avery Taylor made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Watertown let Alyssa Wood and Kayla McGuire run wild. Wood got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while McGuire got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
