Baseball Recap: Hiland Makes It 26 in a Row at Home

Hiland had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monroe Central Seminoles a 12-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2016.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Monroe Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 20 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
