Softball Recap: Kaufman Lions vs. South Hills Scorpions

Kaufman won the last time they faced South Hills and things went their way on Saturday too. The Kaufman Lions came out on top against the South Hills Scorpions by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Abeni Nava made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sadie Waters, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
