Basketball Recap: Martins Ferry's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Martins Ferry can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Cambridge Bobcats. The win was all the more spectacular given the Purple Riders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 178th).

Martins Ferry's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Cambridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Martins Ferry will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Buckeye Trail at 7:00 p.m. As for Cambridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-37 win against Zanesville on the 18th.
