Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Fremont

Fremont waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Roy Royals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-17.

Fremont was led to victory by Brooklyn Smedley and Daphnie Moyes. Smedley had 15 assists and six digs, while Moyes had ten digs and two aces. Moyes has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. Addie Funk also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Fremont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Fremont's win bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Roy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
