Softball Recap: Morristown Takes a Loss

If Morristown was feeling good fresh off their 19-6 takedown of Irvington Preparatory Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellow Jackets lost 14-3 to the Knightstown Panthers on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Morristown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mykynzy Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Morristown now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Knightstown, their record is now an identical 2-3.

Coming up, Morristown is taking a road trip to face off against Hagerstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Knightstown, they will take on Cambridge City Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
