Top-ranked Class of 2024 prospect and Ohio State commit Dylan Raiola headlines a loaded roster at Chandler.
The high school football season in Arizona kicks off next week with 40 games scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 18-20. After going 11-2 last season but seeing its run of five consecutive state championships come to an end,
Chandler opens at No. 1 in this year's preseason MaxPreps Top 25.
The Wolves begin the season ranked No. 8 in the nation, led by Ohio State commit
Dylan Raiola, the top-ranked overall prospect in the Class of 2024. The talented quarterback transferred into the program last year in December and leads a roster loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.
Ranked No. 2 in the state to start the season,
Saguaro (Scottsdale) looks to repeat its success from last year. The Sabercats captured the Open Division state championship with a 20-15 victory over Chandler and begin the season ranked No. 12 in the nation. They return numerous key players headlined by
Devon Dampier,
Deric English,
Jaedon Matthews and Northwestern pledge
Cole Shivers.
The Grand Canyon State is loaded with talent this season as four teams were featured in MaxPreps Preseason Top 100 high school football rankings.
Hamilton (No. 64) and
Basha (No. 67) join Chandler and Saguaro as teams who are expected to make noise on the national stage this season.
