Basketball Recap: Ellinwood Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Ellinwood had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-51 W against the Central Plains Oilers. Ellinwood's victory was all the more impressive since the Oilers were averaging only 29.33 points allowed on the season.

Ellinwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julia Schlessiger out in front who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Schlessiger has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Ritchie, who posted seven points and eight boards.
