Somersworth came tearing into Wednesday's match with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Pelham Pythons 3-0. The Toppers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pythons, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Somersworth was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-9.

Savanna Comeau paced Somersworth's offense, picking up 12 kills. Comeau got some help from Kylie Pettengill and her 24 assists. Emily Runions controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Somersworth's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Pelham, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Somersworth will challenge rival Oyster River at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pelham is set to take on their familiar foe Kingswood at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
