Preview: Somonauk/Leland Bobcats vs. Plano Reapers
The Somonauk/Leland Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Plano Reapers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Somonauk/Leland has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Plano will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Saturday, Somonauk/Leland came up short against Genoa-Kingston and fell 38-25.
Plano has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 46-17 win over Streator.
Josie Larson was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with 3 steals. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nylah Mathews, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Somonauk/Leland's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Plano, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
Somonauk/Leland suffered a grim 45-21 defeat to Plano in their previous meeting back in November. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Plano's Chloe Rowe, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
