Football Recap: Cayden Ramsey Leads Garber's Defense on Friday

Garber's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 28-22 W over the Depew Hornets. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Cord Southwick produced another solid effort picking up 51 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 81 yards and one touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 1.5 sacks and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Aiden Johnson, who threw for 231 yards and three TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes.

Garber didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cayden Ramsey. Another thorn in Depew's side was Colton Deeds, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles.

Garber's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Depew, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2.

The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 944 yards in their previous games. As for Depew, they will welcome Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
