McAllen Memorial had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Pieper Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

When it comes to explaining why Pieper lost, don't look at Cayleigh Monson. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs. Monson has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. Ade Eweka also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

McAllen Memorial's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Pieper, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.
