Omaha Northwest is 8-2 against Bryan since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Huskies will square off against the Bears at 4:30 p.m. Omaha Northwest has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Omaha Northwest came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Burke, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bryan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Buena Vista with a sharp 14-4 win on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Westin Williams, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Bryan is 2-1 when Williams posts two or more runs, but 0-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Turner Marlowe, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Bryan's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Omaha Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Omaha Northwest came out on top in a nail-biter against Bryan when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
