Volleyball Recap: Norwood Mavericks vs. Ouray Trojans
Norwood posted their biggest win since September 24th on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Ouray Trojans as the Norwood Mavericks made off with a 3-0 victory. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.
Norwood never let Ouray on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-22.
Norwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.
Norwood's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Ouray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ridgway the next time they take the court. Norwood will head out to face Ridgway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Ouray will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
