Baseball Recap: Capital Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

While Capital didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Navajo Prep Eagles on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 on March 7th.

Capital is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Navajo Prep, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-0 win against McCurdy on the 22nd. As for Navajo Prep, they have also already played their next game, an 18-6 victory against Pecos on the 22nd.
