Softball Game Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. Eminence Warriors

For the second straight game, Trimble County will face off against Eminence. The Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trimble County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

If Trimble County beats Eminence with 15 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Raiders didn't even let the Warriors on the board on Tuesday, marking the Raiders' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Trimble County let Jocie Stucker and Jaelyn Holbrook run wild. Stucker went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Holbrook went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Stucker continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Shelby Wright also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Eminence is on a 41-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18. As for Trimble County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
