Basketball Game Preview: Richmond Hill Lions vs. Edison

Richmond Hill hasn't had much luck against Edison recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Richmond Hill Lions will take on Edison at 6:00 p.m.

Richmond Hill is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Lane, falling 87-50. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the Knights are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Edison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on January 13th. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 victory over John Adams two weeks ago.

Richmond Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Edison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Richmond Hill, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-56 loss to Edison in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Richmond Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
