Baseball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Holliday Eagles

For the second straight game, Jacksboro will face off against Holliday. The Tigers will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jacksboro 2.8, Holliday 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Holliday will be up against a hot Jacksboro squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

Wyatt Gavit spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Issac Wesson was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Jacksboro lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Jacksboro's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Holliday, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-2.
