Baseball Recap: Pendleton Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pendleton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West-Oak Warriors, sneaking past 5-4. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-4 win on Wednesday.

Barrett Reeves was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tanner Garrett was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Pendleton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for West-Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Pendleton will welcome Woodmont at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West-Oak, they will head out on the road to challenge Belton-Honea Path at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
