Softball Recap: Morningside Academy Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Fork, Morningside Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bayside Bears, sneaking past 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Trinity Richards, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Morningside Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Bayside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morningside Academy will host Atlantic Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bayside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
