Baseball Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 7-4 to the Boonville Pirates.

Charles McCormick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jesse Hudson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Boonville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Tigers duke it out with Licking Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Boonville has already played their next contest (against South Callaway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
