Softball Game Preview: Rice Lake Warriors vs. Hudson Raiders

For the second straight game, Rice Lake will face off against Hudson. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Lake is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Rice Lake lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Hudson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over the Raiders on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted against the Raiders since April 26, 2018.

Aubrey Musil was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rice Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Rice Lake's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
