Recap: Flowers Jaguars vs. Bladensburg Mustangs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Flowers Jaguars walked away with it. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-0 victory over Bladensburg. Flowers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine contests by 39 points or more this season.
Joshua Jefferson was a one-man wrecking crew for Flowers as he rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Jefferson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Braydon Lee made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Flowers' victory was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.77 points. As for Bladensburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Flowers will be playing at home against Eleanor Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eleanor Roosevelt will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Bladensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
