Coastal Academy dropped their record down to 11-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Foothills Christian Knights, falling 15-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stingrays have suffered since March 28th.

Jackson Asbury was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of David McKnight, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

As for Foothills Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11. Considering they have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Foothills Christian's side, they let Jack Morgan and Bruce Bailey run wild. Morgan went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Bailey went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those five hits gave Bailey a new career-high. Jonah Nottoli was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

While Coastal Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
