Volleyball Recap: Lovington Comes Up Short

Lovington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Artesia Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.

Artesia found their leader in sophomore Breckyn Miller, who had ten digs and two assists. Miller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Lovington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Artesia, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Lovington nor Artesia have any future games scheduled.
