Baseball Game Preview: Madison Comprehensive Rams vs. Vermilion Sailors

The Madison Comprehensive Rams will head out to challenge the Vermilion Sailors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Madison Comprehensive has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Madison Comprehensive fell victim to Dover and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Crimson Tornadoes, falling 12-0. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Vermilion made easy work of Port Clinton on Tuesday and carried off a 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sailors, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Vermilion is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Madison Comprehensive, their loss dropped their record down to 3-19.

Madison Comprehensive couldn't quite finish off Vermilion in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
