Preview: Booker T. Washington Tornadoes vs. Miami Springs Golden Hawks

Booker T. Washington and Miami Springs are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Booker T. Washington Tornadoes will head out on the road to face off against the Miami Springs Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Springs took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Booker T. Washington, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Booker T. Washington's game was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 54-47 win over North Miami. With that victory, Booker T. Washington brought their scoring average up to 51.5 points per game.

Zephaniah Pratt and Leroy Lee Jr were among the main playmakers for Booker T. Washington as the former scored 8 points along with 5 steals and the latter scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lee Jr has scored at least 25% of Booker T. Washington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Wright , who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Miami Springs had to suffer through a rough 60-33 loss at the hands of Miami Beach. Miami Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reagan's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Booker T. Washington's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.

Booker T. Washington was able to grind out a solid win over Miami Springs in their previous meeting back in February, winning 42-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Booker T. Washington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
