Volleyball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Comes Up Short

Batesburg-Leesville's tournament run continued when they took on Westside on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Batesburg-Leesville's offense was headlined by Ella Cook and Kate Shealy, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Molly Price and her 13 assists. Genevieve Potts controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Westside, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Batesburg-Leesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Spring Valley on the 23rd. As for Westside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against White Knoll on the 23rd.
