Soccer Game Preview: Huntsville vs. Rudder

The Huntsville Hornets will head out to take on the Rudder Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Huntsville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Huntsville fell victim to A&M Consolidated and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 666th, while the Tigers are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Rudder and Montgomery finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Rudder's goal came courtesy of Enrique Tirado-Lopez, who's now up to nine this season.

Rudder's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-2. As for Huntsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-3.
