Baseball Recap: Marionville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Blue Eye

Marionville not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024. They put the hurt on the Blue Eye Bulldogs with a sharp 16-5 victory. The Comets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Trayce Silk, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Hosbach, who went 1-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Marionville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Blue Eye, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3-1.
