Softball Recap: Williamston Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Williamston's offense. They fell just short of the Perry Ramblers by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Thea Fortin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits.

At the plate, Jaiden Griffith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Williamston's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Perry, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Williamston has already played their next contest, an 8-5 defeat against Lake Fenton on the 28th. As for Perry, they are taking a road trip to take on Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
