Soccer Game Preview: Washington-Liberty vs. Annandale

The Washington-Liberty Generals will venture away from home to take on the Annandale Atoms at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Washington-Liberty can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They fell just short of Meridian by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Annandale kept a clean sheet against Meridian on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Atoms were the better team in the second half.

Washington-Liberty beat Annandale by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington-Liberty since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
