Volleyball Recap: Concord's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of five wins, Concord's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Napoleon Pirates by a score of 2-1.

Concord started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Annie Saenz paced Concord's offense, picking up 16 kills. Saenz got some help from Bradie Lehman and her 31 assists.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 26-9-3. As for Napoleon, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-12-3.

Coincidentally, Concord and Napoleon will both be playing Madison the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
