Baseball Recap: Mattawan Takes a Loss

Mattawan suffered their closest defeat since April 5th on Friday. They fell just short of the East Grand Rapids Pioneers by a score of 9-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mattawan's loss dropped their record down to 27-6-4. As for East Grand Rapids, they moved to 20-6-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Mattawan and East Grand Rapids will both be playing Grand Blanc the next time they take the field. The Pioneers will head out to face the Bobcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
