Baseball Recap: Whiteland Comes Up Short

Whiteland lost to Decatur Central on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whiteland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Waalkens, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Whiteland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Decatur Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Whiteland will head out to square off against Center Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Decatur Central, they will take on Ben Davis in a tournament on Friday.
