Cypress Ranch has gone 8-2 against Cypress Woods recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will face off against the Cypress Woods Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Cypress Ranch will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Cypress Ranch narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Cypress Lakes 35-32.

Meanwhile, Cypress Woods played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Cypress Springs, falling 82-20. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Panthers are ranked 14th).

Cypress Woods' loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Cypress Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Everything went Cypress Ranch's way against Cypress Woods in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Cypress Ranch made off with a 37-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Ranch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
