Basketball Recap: Hallsville Comes Up Short

Hallsville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They had to suffer through a 83-33 loss at the hands of the Boonville Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Pirates are ranked 175th).

Hallsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Boonville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Hallsville has already played their next match (against California), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Boonville will welcome Moberly at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. Boonville is facing Moberly at the right time seeing as Moberly is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
