Softball Recap: Lemont Comes Up Short

Lemont lost against Yorkville back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lemont HS fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 2-1. The Lemont HS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lemont saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Painter, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Lemont's defeat dropped their record down to 25-10. As for Yorkville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Lemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yorkville, they will challenge Sycamore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Foxes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
