Basketball Recap: Era Falls Despite Big Games from Tristan Bowles and Kaden Weatherly

Era lost against Lindsay back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Era Hornets came up short against the Lindsay Knights, falling 58-33. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 874th, while the Knights are ranked 407th).

Era's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaden Weatherly, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and four steals, and Tristan Bowles, who scored eight points and five rebounds. Weatherly is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Era is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14. As for Lindsay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.

Era has already played their next matchup (against Tioga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lindsay will take on Muenster at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Muenster is on a five-game streak of home wins, Lindsay a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
