Baseball Recap: Lone Peak Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lehi

There's no place like home for Lone Peak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Lehi Pioneers 11-3 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Caleb Cathey was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Lone Peak is 3-1 when Cathey posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Packer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lone Peak lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Lone Peak moved to 8-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lehi, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Lone Peak will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lehi: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
