            Baseball Recap: Tulpehocken Trojans vs. Schuylkill Valley Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Tulpehocken was not the first on the board  on Monday, but they got there more often. They walked away with  a   12-9  win over the Schuylkill Valley Panthers. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.

 Jared Baer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Grant Gehman was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Luke Bowers, who  went 1-for-5 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Tulpehocken  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  contests.
Tulpehocken's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-6. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Schuylkill Valley,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-11.
 Looking ahead, Tulpehocken will welcome Antietam  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Schuylkill Valley, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Hamburg  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
