Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. East Aces
Bishop Carroll had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the East Aces. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Wednesday.
Bishop Carroll got a massive performance out of Allyson Orth, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Orth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiersten Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bishop Carroll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
