Basketball Game Preview: Bynum Bulldogs vs. Trinidad Trojans

Bynum and Trinidad are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Bynum Bulldogs will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Trinidad Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Bynum is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Milford just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 32-30.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chris Howell, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Poole, who posted two points along with nine boards, three steals, and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Bynum smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Slocum 89-27. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-23.

Trinidad's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bynum, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Bynum against Trinidad when the teams last played back in November, as the squad secured a 63-21 victory. Does Bynum have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trinidad turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
