Softball Recap: Genesee Valley Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

While Genesee Valley put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Andover. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Genesee Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Andover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Genesee Valley will venture away from home to challenge Cuba-Rushford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Andover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
