Football Recap: Greeneview's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday + How To Watch

Greeneview and North Union squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Greeneview had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 21-6 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 39 points in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

North Union's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Vanhoose, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown. Vanhoose's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Griffin Osborne was another key player, gaining 111 total yards.

The defeat snapped Greeneview's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for North Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Greeneview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Union, they will challenge Williamsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg's defense has only allowed 7.2 points per game this season, so North Union's offense will have their work cut out for them.
