Baseball Recap: Putnam City Pirates vs. Eisenhower Eagles
Putnam City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Eisenhower Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
MJ Petties and Jt Twillie stepped up to the plate in a big way. Petties went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Twillie got on base in two of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Potter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Putnam City's loss dropped their record down to 2-27. As for Eisenhower, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-16.
